Our friends at Softpedia announced that Paris Hilton has written an apology letter to her ex-friend and co-star of ‘The Simple Life’ reality-show, Nicole Richie.

It appears Hilton was persuaded by some of her close friends to put behind their conflicts and to write her a note. A source close to the blonde revealed: "Paris just wanted to call things a day after friends stepped in and told her she was being petty".

Yesterday, it was announced that Richie and Hilton’s TV show, ‘The Simple Life’, has been canceled by Fox. According to a statement released on Wednesday, the network declared that the main reason they canceled the fourth season of the show was because of their stacked schedule.

And it appears the show will be replaced by the new run of Simon Cowell’s TV talent show ‘American Idol Stateside’.

But, according to National Enquirer, the real reason for dumping the show was because the heiress of the Hilton empire refuses to talk with her co-star, Nicole Richie.

"It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends," Hilton said in April. "I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I am ever going to say about it."
