Arnold Schwarzenegger and his 12-year-old son, Patrick, received minor injuries yesterday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near their home. Schwarzenegger received 15 stitches to repair a cut lip.
"I was very lucky," Schwarzenegger said during an appearance Monday at a health center for women and children in North Hollywood. "It could have been very different."
The left side of the governor’s upper lip was swelled and puffy but didn’t affect his speech or appear to cause much pain.
Both he and his son also were treated for minor cuts and bruises and were released from the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt. The accident occurred when another driver backed into a street in front of Schwarzenegger and he was unable to stop.
In December 2001, Schwarzenegger broke six ribs and was hospitalized for four days after a motorcycle crash in Los Angeles.
Arnold says: This won’t keep me off motorcycles. Maybe you should Arnold, you seem to be forgetting one thing: Terminator is a movie, not a reality, oh no!
