    Perhaps we should turn an eye at ourselves. Now WHY would the UN make celebrity (bimbos or not) representatives? Because it’s what people will pay attention to. If one star-crazed person decided to look deeper into the organization that Jolie/Pitt, they become a segway for a “real” person to make a distinguishable contribution. So what they’re basically doing is acting as UN advertisers, which - I think - gets our ADD nation to become interested in global politics and foreign affairs is great.

    Brad looks very scary with his hair cut, btw.

    Angelina Jolie is different. She’s by far more human and kind than any other hollywood actors and actresses who grew up in that shallow world. Her concern is at least shown everytime she travels (wih her own money) to make any kind of donation (which is not just ANY KIND), i.e she gave one million dollars when the war in afganistan started, going all against the us government policies of attack.
    I don’t jugde those who critizice her because I’m sure they don’t really know her. Read her book, watch her movies and you’ll see she’s one of a kind human being.

Sure you can sit back and speculate about whether or not she or he cares about the U.N. and its purpose; and you’re all entitled to your opinions. They’re two people trying to get by in this world, they’re having a baby, they’re normal ppl just like you and I.. They just make a larger amount of money than we do. lol.     i don’t understand why people need to put down what Angelina Jolie has tried to do in third world countries with the allegation that she cheated with Brad. Notice I said the world allegation because no one has any evidence that they had an affair while he was still married. Even Jennifer has stated that she believes Brad and she certainly was closer and knows more about the situation than any of us. But what really truly sickens me is when people say that the good work Angelina has tried to do is scam to cover up her alleged affair. First her involvement as a UN ambassador began during or right after her shoot in Cambodia on Tomb Raider so it was before her alleged affair. Secondly even if she had an affair with Brad, why does that mean continuing her good work is just a cover or a scam to make people like them more. It infuriates me when people makes comments like yours that make it seem like an extramarital affair means that all the good that they have done is meaningless. She has donated millions to projects in Cambodia and because of his donations, there are hospital beds in Pakistan for the sick and injured. Why should saving lives damaged by earthquakes and land mines mean less than hurting Jennifer Aniston and the morality of cheating? I admire Angelina Jolie for being more than just a pretty actress, she actually has tried to make the world a better place.

    I’m with MK. Not that we’re all retarded (because you’re here, too, MK!) but Stephen Hawking, yeah. It used to be that people became famous for doing cool stuff, because they had talent, or solutions to offer, or great beauty, or whatever. We need the thinkers of the world to come up with plans, solutions. If more people read Hawking, Or Feynstein, or even current poets and novelists like Bonta, we would have a culture that cared about more and could SEE THROUGH the crap fest of fabricated “celebrity.”
    Angelina Jolie is beautiful (except her stick legs are a little too skinny for my tastes). She’s gorgeous, has great bones. Brad Pit looked hot even to men in his Greek god movie.
    Hey, they just looked like they were acting all concerned and worried (for the cameras).

    could we please not lose focus, Angelina is not fat, also please stop punishing these people for being who they are, no other celebs have given the time and attention to these causes, so what’s wrong with using the media as a vehicle, they have brought much attention to these issues, how often are these issues brought to the public by politicians, celebs, media and other powerful rich millionaires? Brad and Angelina could just as easily sit back in a mansion, live the goodlife and ignore what is really going on in the world, but they choose to travel to these awful places to bring awareness, compassion and understanding, do you really think doing all this is to promote themselves? Give considerable thought, they have done much to be of any help possible, how many of us can claim that?

    Apparently all of you that are speaking with disdain for Brad and Angelina are hypocrits, as in most of your conversations about them you mention UN or the WEF, therefore it is the apparent conclusion that the inclusion of Brad and Angelina at the WEF did exactly what it was supposed to, it got people talking… granted some of those people are speaking only of Brad and Angelina, however if just one or two people decided by “Brangelina’s” inclusion to learn more about WEF and its concerns, etc. then the job was done.

    While their combined IQ’s might not match Steven Hawking’s, they do seem to realize there is another reality than Malibu, jet-setting, etc. They can go places a plain person could never get in, just because of their fame. So I say good for them, and many congratulations on the baby!

    I didn’t read all of this above…but here goes. I am very disappointed with these 2. Somebody had a good point up there about their immorallity. They are, sorta, role models, and though we don’t know their personalities, they have failed society. They tore up a marriage and now they are pregnant and not married. It is so o.k. to them. I am disgusted with the whole ordeal.

    She’s already adopted 2 kids with no husband (male role model) around…and now a white baby to add to her quiver. She’ll have a rainbow of kids. (Who knows maybe she’ll go to China and adopt a girl too). All that money buys lots of nannies, huh? This adopting without a father business is very selfish.

    Unfortuantely, they are whole lives are very messed up. BUT….all that put aside, they are worthy to represent us as ambassadors? I guess it doesn’t take much. Thanks but no thanks.

    She donates 1/3 of her earnings to charity, has established an orphanage in Cambodia and has also donated considerable time/money to the issue of removing landmines (left in Cambodia by you American’s none the less) - so what if she isn’t the most intelligent person around at least she is generous wtih her wealth.

    i just would like to ask… how adopting children who have no parents and are living in orphanage shaks… being selfish? i would rather have all those children be with angelina who gives them a home and love them with all her heart than be in a shak, with no nutrients or love or warmth… i believe what she does is very tasteful…. and no i dont think brad cheated on jennifer and if he did who could blame him??? he wanted a babby jennifer was taking to long cuz she wanted to be a movie star and may i point almost all her movies bombed… and so brad got a lil attach to angelina because she loves children..     I find it terribly sad that we allow Angie who is clearly disturbed to even parent. Why won’t these people prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for their kids and invite the folks? Because they’re messed up! They need to get their priorities straight and be honest for just one minute. Those poor kids are trotted all over the world and they can’t take the time to enjoy a simple Thanksgiving dinner with them. Her own father addressed her issues and practically called her a “nut” to everyone. I believe that Angie is sincere in her concerns globally…who isn’t? However, lets not forget the fact that she clearly seduced a man to the point that he left his wife for her. That was her plan from the start and we all know this. Now that she has a couple of flicks coming out, she suddenly wants to soften what happened between her and Brad so we will want to watch her movies. Get real! In my opinion, I think she made us all frown more towards her. Jennifer will meet a great guy soon enough. Brad’s a nerd. He looks like it hurts him to smile, his eyes are too close together, and he’s boring. Please…spare us! Angie’s a home-wrecker and he’s a cheater. They deserve eachother. Can’t wait for the day that Brad’s filing for custody of the kids. I’ll pop popcorn for that for sure. What goes around, comes around. These two won’t last another 3 years. Sad! I wonder what’s really in store for them…and for us too.
