well its surprising how RACISTS are so quick in twisting her statement just to make her seem bad. beyonce is simply saying she makes r & b music, and has reached a stage where she can express her true feelings and personal experiences through her music, not caring whether or not people would like her message and style. thats the only message she was trying to portray. and i bet that also means she doesnt care anymore who is interested in buying her music and who isnt, as long as she sings her heart and speaks her mind about what she believes and feels she should expess through her music. i know everyone of her cds sold rily counts to her. but those cds, which should have been bought by these RACISTS who changed their minds about buying them after hearing or reading her comment, they dont deserve to be in their filthy hands. but one thing for sure is that they do dance to her beat wherever they hear it. we just never there to witness that. so B, do your thin’ and remember you are a SURVIVOR. people wil always be there to try to put you down but dont let them succeed. i love you so damn much.

This isn’t true, Beyonce was misquoted by vanity fair………. Secondly Beyonce sue this publication, but not let truth get in the way of a good story……vanity fair is a very racist publication they alway have to bring race in everything.

Beyonce is black. And the term Black music is used in the music bussiness. People don’t say a thing when Slim Shady acts black and stuff and says Black music. He calls 50 cent a negro and stuff. I feel that beyonce was just saying how she felt but could have phrased it better and said:
i make r&b music for r&b fans thats the music i listen to and its were i draw my inspirations from and what has shaped me in my upbringing.

I feel that this is what she meant and it came out wrong.

If a white artist had said i make white music for white people their would be uproar because 90% of americans are white anyway and it would be a blatant rascist comment however only 10% percent of americans are black or of a ethnic minority, and basically all beyonce was doing is saying that she is catering to that market just as the r&b artists she listened to growing up did.

It was a harmless comment, taken out of context and blown highly out of porportion. Don’t buy her music because of a silly throw away comment. If you like it buy it if you don’t then don’t.

I’m proud of her for saying what she said . White people have this
thing of thinking that some celebritys arent black when they reach a
certain status like Diana Ross , Oprah , Janet Jackson and Beyonce
all she’s doing is keeping it real . Who knows what kind of raciest
she has to deal with from day to day. If a white person had made
that statement I’m sure a lawsuit would have surfaced but I feel
like we can say things they cant becaus e of what they have done
to us .

beyonce is really conceited though i love her songs but the truth is she is conceited…even jayz said so himself in “lost one” when he said she loves her career more now shes doing a song with shakira but she cant dance like shakira but she certainly is trying….i use to like her alot now she jus annoys me…she thinks she is the queen of everthing and that song upgrade u is just showing off her big ass EGO….the more i see her the more i dislike her

This conversation is really annoying. You can’t tell an ignorant person anything. I like Beyonce’s music. She has been blessed with the ability to sing. But I do not like Beyonce as she is displayed (only because I don’t know her personally) because she comes across as arrogant/ Now Is it’s okay for Tommy Hilfiger to say he only designs for rich white people? People can be anyway they want everything always seems to boil down to race there are bigger and better things on this earth to be concerned with the few ignorant comments a person makes. Comments are made like this everyday by regular people – because these people are famous why should we expect any better
