Do The Red Thing - GAP ad campaign

Check this new GAP ad campaign, anybody noticed something weird?
Turns out Pop Muse and Gossip or Truth were wondering the same thing. Who's the Naked Latin Twink? And most of all: Why is he naked?

Have to agree with Pop Muse on this one as well, who the hell is selecting Gap's Celeb Spokespeople these days? Pete Wentz, Mia Farrow, Mary J, Penelope Cruz, Spielberg, Chris Rock and of course or mystery guy “the Naked Latin Twink? Could the choices be more random?

    Um, that would be Apolo Anton Ohno — Olympic gold medal-winning speedskater. I suppose he’s sans clothes in the ad because speedskaters wear full bodysuits in competition. (“Latin twink”?!? Hey, celebrity bloggers, there’s a big wide world outside of Hollywood!)

    That is not Mia Farrow, that is Christy Turlington; one of the most famous supermodels (Cindy, Naomi, Evangelista, Claudia)

    I do not acknowledge athletes as celebrities (unless they appear on Surreal Life.) Until this child puts some clothes on and stars in some celebreality show with Kathy Griffin, I could care less about his name, he is The Naked Latin Twink. And he is creepy. PERIOD!

    So, yea…it’s not random. These are people who support the cause of (RED). And they are not spokes people for Gap but product (RED) that Gap is going to be carrying in store. And the speed skater is wearing shorts, duh. This pose just doesn’t show them

    My aunty and i watched oprah today saw the show then drove 1and a half hours to go spend 94 dollars on two items that were well worth the money we baought two shirts and two braclets and we couldnt LOVE them MORE our store had odered 500 and had about 100 left by the end of the day today and they just got the order in.

    Are you guys nuts?!?!?!? That is Apolo Ohno, the Olympic gold medalist. He is not latino; he is half white and half Japanese. And he is one of the most gorgeous guys I have seen in my life. This photo does him no justice, but if you want to do a google search of him you will find some gorgeous photos. Oh yeah, and he’s 24; not a child anymore.
