   I totally understand where Angelina is coming from. She seems like she was a tom boy growing up, and on top of that she has had to be the rock for her mother after her father left her mother, and then her mother is tragically diagnosed with terminal cancer. On top of that Angelina she has had to deal with a father publicly insulting her instead of being someone in her life who she could turn to for support. She probably has had to be the STRONG one in her family for a long time, and she probably thinks if she gets too emotional, and lets her guard down too much, she’ll get hurt or disappointed as she has in the past. Maybe being outwardly strong is the only way she knows how to be, to keep it all together. She seems very affectionate with her children, and Brad, but perhaps to others she is a little hesitant to let her guard down, since she has unfortunetly learned that even your own family can turn against you.
