While ex-wife Britney Spears picked up another gig today, Kevin Federline is looking for something a little more low-key. He meet with the the program director at Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM to talk about becoming a DJ. Yes a DJ!

"I know he's going to do some stuff at a station- he had an interview at KIIS…he's in talks to to be a DJ on KIIS."

A KIIS-FM source confirms the meeting, but calls any discussions about Federline "informal." Something tells me this is a polite speak for: we don't want to hire this dumb mothafucka but we're willing to be nice and pretend to listen and take it into consideration.

American Idol’s Katharine McPhee, 23, raised eyebrows July 6 when she made a huge deal about removing a band from her left ring finger before exiting L.A. International Airport with her boyfriend, Nick Cokas, 42. 

“She seemed very nervous about getting the ring off,” an eyewitness tells Star.  So nervous, in fact, that she kept that hand in her pocket and struggled to carry her luggage with the other.

David Beckham may not play at as part of the L.A. Galaxy on Saturday due to a little ankle problem. Beckham told reporters he hopes the swelling will go away and he’ll be able to play.

The coach said, "There's always a possibility that he will not be playing because of his injury, but hopefully he will be. "We're not going to force him to play. That would be wrong. If he's ready to play, he will, but we'll wait and see. We won't put him in any danger of making it long-term."

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz got engaged just before the band at last Saturday’s New York’s Live Earth concert and are currently expecting a baby! 

Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all, it was a total surprise,” a mole reports. “Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee says it was romantic, sexy — and that she said yes right away.

Ashlee and Pete are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace,” says an insider. She definitely doesn’t want a big circus wedding like Jessica had when she married Nick. All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family, and a handful of people.”

Ashlee behavior at a recent family wedding has sparked speculation that she may be pregnant.

“Ashlee may have helped start the rumours herself. She was at a family wedding and was wandering around rubbing her belly. And she refused to drink anything. She probably didn’t drink that night because her dad was around,” says a pal.

“We don’t think they were officially engaged 20 minutes before she started calling people to spread the news,” says a friend. “If she were having a baby she wouldn’t be able to keep it to herself for five minutes.”
