Desperate housewives set at this years Emmy Awards

There’s a noticeable Emmys buzz. Joan Rivers, who makes a glorious meal of sending up red-carpet arrivals at the Shrine Auditorium, says the many new faces offer "more people to make fun of or to be in awe of".
Three Desperate Housewives, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Teri Hatcher, are nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, though sentimental Emmy voters may prefer Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond.

An entertaining night is promised, though, with strong emotions as the US gradually gets to grips with Hurricane Katrina. The Emmys will pay due respect and are fortunate having Ellen DeGeneres as host. Not only is she from New Orleans but she won plaudits for handling the difficult hosting duties at the postponed 9/11 Emmys in 2001. Presenters and performers will wear magnolias, the state flower of both Louisiana and Mississippi.

Also to appear is Donald Trump who will, read carefully, sing, yes, sing with Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), the theme from Green Acres.

Never heard Donald singing so this will be quite an experience.
