naomi.jpgSeptember 14, 2005 – A supergroup of fashion’s most-familiar faces—including Vogue’s André Leon Talley, M.A.C President John Demsey, 7th on Sixth’s Fern Mallis, and long-standing lovelies Linda Evangelista and Iman—rallied around Naomi Campbell on Tuesday afternoon as she announced her plans for Fashion for Relief. The formidable charity—concocted only five days ago by the mega-model and executed through a series of phone calls—will take form in a runway show, a T-shirt designed by Ralph Lauren, and an auction on Yahoo. All proceeds will go directly to the nonprofit organization AmeriCares to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Leading designers will donate their best duds for the show, which will feature close Campbell pals, such as Cindy Crawford, Jay-Z, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, and other yet-to-be-named celebrities, and is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Friday, September 16, in the tents at Bryant Park. Following their turns on the runway, organizers will literally take the clothes off their backs and make them available for the auction, which will start Thursday, September 22.

Beyonce strutted her stuff down the catwalk at the Fashion for Relief.

From Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie to Cindy Crawford and Molly Sims, celebrities and models were gracing the catwalk in two looks each from a handful of top designers, including Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Zac Posen, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan and more.

Our celebrity gossipiest says that Ms Campbell pissed off Gwen Stefani for one-upping her LAMB show by closing the NY Fashion Week. She one upped Gwen Stafani by rounding up a huge list of celebs to close fashion week. Gwen’s line, LAMB was scheduled to be the last show, but Campbell coordinated a charity show for Hurricane Katrina victims.

Time for Gwen to lay low? She was pushed aside at the VMAs and now Fashion week!? Take a hint Gwen and stop the whining.
