Madonna’s PR machine has gone into overdrive of late – only on Monday she moved to defend her belief in the mysterious Jewish faith of Kabbalah.

Speaking to the Evening Echo, the ‘Like a Virgin’ singer said: "She ripped me off. We work with a lot of the same people. She married a Brit, she’s got blonde hair and she likes fashion."
PR maestro Madge then threw in the obligatory disclaimer: "But I don’t mind. I think she’s very sweet and talented."
