Mariah Carey’s production company has filed a lawsuit against the concert promoters who recently cancelled her gig in Hong Kong.
ONE Group investments cancelled the concert after tickets failed to sell and Mimi made what they considered irrational demands.
In a statement on their website concert organisers said:
"As promoters of the Mariah Carey Hong Kong concert, we have decided to cancel the event effective immediately due to both the poor response of public ticket sales and also due to specific last-minute demands which we find wholly unreasonable and not with the best interests of Hong Kong, us and also the fans."
Now Carey is demanding $1million to reimburse her for expenses incurred whilst preparing for the show.
The lawsuit alleges that the promoters "breached its contractual obligations."
A lawyer for Carey told TMZ:
"This is an open-and-shut case for Mariah's company and we are confident that the company will prevail."
She probably will.
